Popeye burgers recipe

Bringing you the most requested recipe of all time straight. Yes, this is my favourite Popeye Burgers recipe and I’m sure the only burger recipe you'll ever need too.

(Prepares 6)

🍔 6 burger buns
🍔 4 boiled potatoes
🍔 1/2 cup sweet corn
🍔 1/2 cup bread crumbs
🍔 Cilantro
🍔 Spinach
🍔 1-2 green chillies
🍔 Salt as needed
🍔 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
🍔 1/4 black pepper powder
🍔 1 bunch of lettuce
🍔 6 cheese slices
🍔 Mayonnaise
🍔 Sliced cucumber
🍔 Sliced tomato
🍔 Sliced onion
🍔 Chaat masala
🍔 Avocado oil

What to do: Add grated potatoes, finely chopped cilantro, green chillies, boiled and crushed sweet corn, spinach, bread crumbs, salt, pepper and chilli powder to a large bowl. With your hands, gently mix it all together and bind it to prepare your burger patties.

Make 6 equal sized balls from the above mixture and flatten them. Rest them for 10-15 mins in refrigerator.

Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. When the oil turns hot gently place the patties in the oil and shallow fry all the 6 burger patties at one go. This really saves a lot of time rather than frying them in batches. Allow them to cook for 5 mins on medium heat, then with the spatula, flip them over and allow to cook on the another side for an additional 5 minutes or until crisp and golden. Remove cooked patties and set them aside.

Now divide the buns in half and toast them in the same pan. Place mayo, lettuce, slice of cheese. Top with a cooked burger patty, tomato, onion and cumber with some chaat masala and then the top portion of the bun. Serve hot.
